AutoDesk 2013 will be released within the next days, Mechanical Software is categorized in 3 Section:
AutoDesk Product Design Suite: Standard 2013, Premium 2013 and Ultimate 2013.

March 12/12 meeting highlight:

David talked about Inventor Vault and outlined at his place of employment each Inventor Operator has its own Vault.

Exchanging files is not the best and sometime confusing. 

It may have advantages enable the operator to do off site work and have access to all the necessary files.

David set up his own procedure ensuring files from Vault are saved periodically, unused directories deleted et.

Overall Vault for multi user environment are of great benefit.

David also demonstrated Inventor Fusion, we were only trying out the basic function and will continue hopefully at next meeting.

David talked about frame generator and referred to real life experience.

Finished building construction ready for curtain wall may not always be as outlined as outlined on drawings.

Pass experience have shown curtain walls have to be designed to fit the building not as outlined on drawings.

Dave demonstrated a curtain wall design based on actual building dimension not as shown on drawings

This may also create unique curtain wall for various location within the same building.

Dave also demonstrated briefly AutoDesk Inventor Fusion.

January 09/12 meeting highlight:

David extensively talked and demonstrated about AutoDesk Inventor Vault.

Explaining steps required to install Vault which is not restricted to AutoDesk, is also used within other data creation software.

Within Vault David explained the difference file directories and their functions.

With Vault he demonstrated steps to copy design intend.

Attention is needed for proper copying and renaming of components while copying design utilizing Vault.

David explored AutoDesk Vault with AutoDesk Data Management without activating Inventor.

Last, David talked about design history and its version within Vault.
